About the Company

Over a million people have gained access to housing through our software.

The company uses AI to remake the way consumer underwriting is done, starting with residential real estate. Most consumers' most important financial information is locked up in documents, and we’ve built technology that is able to harness this data to help make better lending decisions. We’ve coupled this underwriting agent with advanced document and identity anti-fraud, and we’re working toward democratizing sophisticated consumer underwriting for all.

Our customers are large real estate managers and our users are renters across America. Our product is a chat that talks to consumers to build a financial profile in a more fair, consistent, and seamless way than is possible by humans today. To do so, we've taken novel approaches to solving anti-fraud, deploying probabilistic models in highly regulated environments, document extraction, multiplayer experiences, etc.

We believe in the impact of our work: every PR affects real people in defining moments of their life. We are differentiated in our ability to provide a white glove experience to consumers from all walks of life. In turn, we generate massive revenue and efficiency gains for our clients.

Founded in 2022, team size around 30 employees, $20M in total funding raised.

About the Team

Max and I have known each other since we were best friends at a middle school for gifted children in the Bay Area. After a four-year stint in the Foreign Exchange trading group covering Hedge Funds at Goldman, I spent two years as the fourth employee selling software to property managers. That experience taught me that every property manager’s biggest problem in their business was leasing, and no one had solved it. I called my old friend Max, who was working on the search team at Google, and asked him for advice on solving income verification for rentals. He responded that he had spent years working on this problem in the Mortgage space for Blend (now public), and that the transformers AI revolution finally made an end-to-end solution possible.

Max resigned from Google a few months later, and we were working on the company. Still hard to believe the serendipity sometimes.
