The Opportunity
We are looking for a Senior Software Engineer, Infrastructure with 5+ years of experience to scale the systems behind the company's AI-native social platform, which handles more than 10 million conversations a week. We need a full-stack engineer with deep infrastructure experience who is comfortable with large data volumes and ambiguity, and who can get up to speed quickly without much guidance. We have 200+ customers and add new enterprise brands every week, so you'll help lead the infrastructure work that keeps up with that growth. This is a chance to be one of our first dedicated infrastructure engineers and shape how the platform grows.
What You'll Be Doing
- Own the reliability and scale of the distributed systems that power our high-volume data ingestion and real-time AI agents
- Build and improve ETL pipelines and data infrastructure on AWS, Kubernetes, Postgres and ClickHouse to handle more than 10 million conversations a week
- Work across the full stack in Python, TypeScript or Java, building automation, tooling and product features alongside product and design teams
- Take part in the 24/7 on-call rotation, handle customer issues and run incident response as we onboard new enterprise customers every week
- Harden our infrastructure-as-code (Pulumi), CI/CD and observability so the team can move fast safely
Why This Role
- Real Scale, Real Customers: 10M+ conversations a week, 200+ customers, and new enterprise brands onboarding weekly — the infrastructure problems are already here, not hypothetical.
- First Dedicated Infra Engineer: Shape how the platform scales from the ground up: ingestion, ETL on AWS/Kubernetes/Postgres/ClickHouse, Pulumi IaC, CI/CD and observability.
- Top-Tier Backing, Ex-Meta Founders: $30M Series A led by Menlo Ventures with True Ventures, Google Ventures and Kinship Ventures ($40M total). Founded by ex-Meta product and engineering leaders.
- Full-Stack, Not Siloed: Infra engineers here also ship product in Python, TypeScript or Java alongside product and design — you see the whole system.
Key Requirements
- Ability to work hybrid in Palo Alto, CA (4 days/week on-site)
- US work authorization or eligibility for visa transfer (no new visa sponsorship)
- 5 - 16 years of experience as an SRE, infrastructure engineer, or platform engineer
- Experience operating production systems as an SRE, infrastructure, platform, or DevOps engineer
- Startup experience within the past four to five years
- Degree required
- Programming skills for building automation, tooling, and operational services (Python, TypeScript, or Java)
- Hands-on expertise with cloud infrastructure (AWS or similar) and infrastructure-as-code tooling
- Experience with distributed systems and Kubernetes
Nice to Have
- Experience standing up or maturing an SRE practice at an early-stage or rapidly scaling company

- Technical Interview with a Team Lead (30 minutes) — A coding interview on data structures and algorithms, run by a company team lead.
- Technical Assessments with a Team Lead and the Engineering Manager (2 x 60 minutes) — Two 60-minute technical assessments. Team leads run the practical coding rounds. The engineering manager usually runs the system design round.
- Final Onsite with Misba (CEO), Farah (CTO), a Team Lead and a Project Manager (3.25 hours) — Four onsite rounds: (1) practical coding with a team lead or senior software engineer, (2) system design with Farah, CTO, (3) behavioral interview with Misba, CEO, and (4) a project deep dive run by a project manager.
